Ontañón Antología Crianza is an innovative Rioja that revives the essence of the classic ‘coupage’.
Its name, Antología (“anthology”), reflects a curated collection of select vineyards and the three historic Rioja grapes: Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Graciano.
The fruit is sourced from small, often remote terraces in Quel, on the slopes of the Sierra de Yerga, where varying altitudes, soils, and orientations contribute complexity and character.
The concept of ensamblage—from the Old French ensembler, “to unite or blend”—captures the philosophy behind the wine: harmoniously merging distinct vineyard expressions into a single, refined whole.
Ontañón Antología is a carefully chosen Crianza, uniting heritage vineyards, noble varieties, and innovative aging to deliver a wine that is both deeply traditional and refreshingly modern.
Aged for 12 months in oak barrels.
