Steeped in history since 1632, Château de l'Engarran stands as an iconic Montpellier "folly" and a celebrated historic monument.

Now steered by generations of women winemakers, currently led by sisters Diane Losfelt (winemaker) and Constance Rérolle (sales head), this estate seamlessly blends centuries of tradition with modern winemaking precision.

The moniker "La Lionne" (The Lioness) pays homage to the fierce family lineage and visionary leadership behind the estate since 1923.

While Sauvignon Blanc typically thrives in France's cooler climates like the Loire Valley, the sisters set out to craft a distinctive expression that showcases the transformative warmth of the Mediterranean climate.

Instead of exhibiting purely sharp, green characteristics, the southern sun imparts a smooth, creamy texture bursting with vibrant tropical melon flavours.
