This is a 2012 vintage, so expect a more developed profile with nutty and creamy tones, softer acidity, which allows for it to pair well with chicken, duck, roasted meat, and cheese with nuts.

G de Chateau Guiraud is the dry white wine made by the famous Château Guiraud, a 1er Grand Cru Classé (1855) estate in Sauternes.

G de Château Guiraud was first launched in the early 2000s to express the estate’s terroir in a dry white wine, diverging from its traditional sweet Sauternes production.

Unlike most dry Bordeaux blancs that come from Pessac-Léognan or Entre-Deux-Mers, this wine is grown on the unique gravel-clay soils of Sauternes, often using vines that could otherwise produce sweet wine.

Usually 50% Sauvignon Blanc and 50% Sémillon, fermented and aged partially in barrels (often 10–20% new oak), giving the wine a creamy texture, richness, and complexity that distinguishes it from leaner Bordeaux Blancs.
